Park Tudor Small School Showcase
Meet Details

This meet will take place on the campus of Park Tudor School, 7200 North College Ave, Indianapolis, IN 46240. The meet will begin at 6:00 PM and the track will be available for warm-ups starting at 5:00 PM.

Meet Entries: The entry deadline is Wednesday, April 10th by 11:59 PM. Running event substitutions and/or scratches can be emailed to Ryan Ritz (rritz@parktudor.org) by 11:59 PM the day before the meet. Last minute substitutions and/or scratches can be made on the Substitution and Scratch Form and returned to Press Box at least 30 minutes prior to the start of the meet. Field event scratches should be made directly at the field event.

Spectators: FREE.

Team Camp: Teams should set up camps in the grassy areas on the perimeter (outside) of the track. Teams should NOT set up camps in the infield or stands as these areas will be reserved for warm-ups and spectators respectively. At the conclusion of the meet, please advise your athletes to clean-up after themselves.

Team Warm-Ups: Athletes can warm-up on the track before the meet starts or on the infield during the meet.

Track & Timing: We have a 6-lane track and will use hand-held timing for all events. With heats consisting of more than 8 participants in a section (4x800 M Relay, 1600 M Run, 800 M Run, and 1200 M Run ), only the top 8 finishers will be provided a time from us. Coaches are responsible for providing times to their athletes who do not finish in the top 8 in these heats.

Coaches Meeting: 5:45 PM, behind the press box.

Clerk of the Course: Athletes must check-in with the clerk of the course by 3rd (final) call for their track event in order to participate. Failure to report by 3rd call will result in disqualification. For relay events, all relay members should check-in. The clerk of the course will be located at the 100 M start line area for all events except the 300 M hurdles in which event the clerk will be located at the 300 M start line area. Once a competitor checks-in, they will remain in the staging area until they are released to the starting line. Field event athletes should check-in at the field event location. Three calls will be made for each event at roughly 15, 10 and 5 minutes increments prior to the event.

Jury of Appeals & Appeals: We need 3 coaches to serve on the Jury of Appeals. This will be determine at our coaches meeting. The Jury will advise the meet referee on any decisions in question. Appeals should be submitted in writing to the meet referee. The decision of the Jury will be final.

Equipment: Teams are responsible for providing their own starting blocks, batons, discs and shot-puts for their athletes. Chalk will be distributed in the team packets.

Track Markings: Please use chalk to mark the track.

Dressing Facilities: There are NO dressing facilities available at this meet so athletes should come dressed and ready to participate.

Parking: Team vehicles should enter through the College Ave entrance and park there (North of the track) and spectators should enter through the 71st Street entrance and park there (West of the track).

Restrooms: Restrooms are available in the athletic building. Please advise your athletes to remove their spikes before entering the building.

Coaches Hospitality: Food and drinks will be available at 5:45 PM in the press box for coaches.

Scoring: The top 8 places will score according to the following point scale: 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1.

Athlete Awards: 1st place finishers (including all relay members) will receive medals and all other place finishers (2nd 8th) will receive ribbons.

Team Awards: The 1st and 2nd place teams for the boys and girls will receive trophies.

Heat Sheets: Heat sheets will be posted on this website when available.

Trainer: Our trainer will be available during the meet for your athletes if needed. She will be located near the finish line.

Concessions: Concessions will be available during the meet, located near the pressbox.

Award Presentation: At the conclusion of the meet, we ask that all athletes and spectators find a seat in the stands or on the hill (West of track) for the award ceremony. Event winners and the top two scoring teams for the boys and girls will be recognized and given their awards.
